Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions
Q How do I set up a leaderboard?
Setting up a leaderboard is easy! Just use the /record_match elo command to record your first match, and a leaderboard will be created automatically. You can customize it later with /profile_manager leaderboard to add a display name, description, and custom colors.
Q How do I track match results?
Use the /record_match elo command followed by placements. For example: /record_match elo 1st_place:@player1 2nd_place:@player2. For team matches, group teammates with parentheses like: /record_match elo 1st_place:(@player1 @player2) 2nd_place:(@player3 @player4). For quick 1v1 matches, you can also use the simpler /record_match quick command.
Q How do I configure tier roles?
Use the /tiers create command to create custom tiers that automatically assign Discord roles based on player ratings. Specify the rating type, required Elo rating threshold, and the Discord role to assign. This feature requires a PRO or UNLIMITED subscription.
Q Can I customize my leaderboard?
Yes! Use /profile_manager leaderboard to customize your leaderboard with a display name, description, custom colors, and icon/banner images. You can also create auto-updating leaderboard messages in Discord channels with /leaderboard display.
Q How does the Elo rating system work?
The Elo rating system is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of players. After each game, points are transferred from the loser to the winner. Try our interactive Elo Calculator to see how different match outcomes affect ratings.
